In this course we will handle the SAP ERP system versions ECC 6.0 and S4 HANA, trying to be as general as possible. We will learn what is a chart of accounts and how it is defined in the SAP system. Subsequently it will be shown from the end user’s point of view how to obtain a chart of accounts report. At this topic is important to remark that there are reports the HANA version does not use anymore, as the new database architecture and the Simple Finance concept provides a simplification in the execution of real time financial data processes that need to be reconciled, as well as the elimination of redundant data. The next topic is the configuration of the Chart of Accounts, how to set it up, modify some of its features, lock it in case of maintenance. Finally we will review the specific chart of accounts for Mexico, with which the accounting of a company is reported to the tax authorities SAT – Servicio de Administración Tributaria (Tax Administration Service).
